Advice for uploading my own art or photo

All images must be in jpeg, png or gif format and less than 10MB. Your image should be high res (300 dpi is best) and in RGB color mode

Your image should be at least 1900 x 1200 pixels in order to cover the entire print area. If your image is a photo, make sure to check the size of the file to be sure the image is large enough to cover the entire case.

How does the JIVO Custom Case process work – what is it?

First, we should explain what this isn’t:

  • This isn’t a sticker, which is prone to peeling and adhesive failure.
  • This isn’t printed directly on the outside of the case, where it can be damaged, rubbed off, or scratched easily.
  • This isn’t a case where the image only goes to the edge of the case – your image actually wraps around the sides of the case as well.

So what is this? JIVO uses a sophisticated process that imprints your image into a specially designed blank case. But that’s not all - this process embeds the image inside the case, in such a way that it doesn’t obstruct the visual effect of the printing, yet offers superior protection against wear and damage. The end result is a smooth, glossy, and stunning case that not only looks great but helps protects both your image and your device.

How do I know if my image is 300 DPI?

Images should be 300 DPI (Dots-Per-Inch) or higher. DPI information is part of the Image properties for the particular file you are working with, so you can easily check and verify this prior to uploading your image.

On Windows, depending on your platform, you should be able to right-click the Image File before opening it, and select “Properties” from the menu. Click on the \"Summary\" tab in the top of the pop-up. If \"Title,\" \"Subject\" or \"Author\" fields are displayed, click the button \"Advanced \" at the bottom. In the Advanced properties view, the fields \"Horizontal Resolution\" and \"Vertical Resolution\" indicate the respective DPIs.

On Mac, we recommend you open the Image in Preview, Click Tools-Show Inspector. In the pop-up window, click on More Info Inspector, and here you can see the vertical and horizontal DPI. Both numbers should be 300 or higher.

My JIVO Custom Case preview looks unclear or grainy on screen, how do I fix this?

Your image needs to be over 300dpi and in .jpg (JPEG), .png, or .gif format, to provide a clear crisp case print. Images taken with low-resolution cameras, in poor lighting, or with mobile devices may not meet this requirement. If your image appears blurry on screen during the preview process, you can safely assume that the printed case will reflect the same and should therefore select another image. Please note: Once you accept the image, and proceed with the transaction, there’s no way to change or alter it later.

Note: Images downloaded from the web or a browser are generally NOT 300 DPI and are therefore not suitable for Custom Case printing.

My JIVO Custom Case arrived and there’s a problem with it!

Our printing technology uses the file provided by our customer, and uploaded at time of purchase. A preview tool is available to assist in viewing and aligning the images prior to purchase. Because of this, we encourage customers to preview the image quality carefully using this preview prior to completing the purchase. Our cases are inspected for workmanship defects prior to shipment to our customers. These are personalized products that cannot be restocked or resold, and the decisions regarding image quality, placement and alignment are made by our customers: as such, JIVO is unable to accept returns or issue credits for non-defective product.
